New opportunities for polyethylene based hot melts
Shortages in EVA polymer and colophony (gum rosin) have caused a serious price rise for the traditional packaging grades. This offers new opportunities for the PE based hot melts. Their lower density and improved melting behaviour generate a much better return per kilogram adhesive. PE based hot melts are odour free, water clear and stable in glue tank and hoses. The end packaging can resist temperatures between -20°C and 50°C.
